What is there to do in Cabo?
Cabo San Lucas is one of the most desired vacation spots in the world. Set on the tip of Baja California, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez, Cabo features endless beaches and grand resorts which create a sense of another time and place. Simple pleasures, such as taking in a sunset cruise or strolling the broad promenade of the marina, complement world class golf, offshore fishing excursions, fashionable shopping, and fine dining. Surf, scuba and snorkeling, off-road adventure and more await the bold. Best of all, it’s a destination where a distinctly casual atmosphere defines an unhurried lifestyle.
What amenities does Diamante currently have and what is planned in the future?
Diamante has completed a world-class oceanfront links golf course designed by Davis Love III called the Dunes Course. The course has already received many accolades, including Top New International Golf Course in 2010 and a ranking of #58 in GOLF Magazine’s 2011 Top 100 Courses in the World. Also completed is a clubhouse featuring a cantina with indoor and outdoor dining, golf pro shop, and men’s and ladies locker rooms. Beach activities are also available, including horseback riding, ATV rides and hiking. In early 2011, construction began to complete Phase 1, which includes the Dunes Clubhouse and Residence Club with indoor/outdoor dining; a one-of-a-kind golf performance lab, an oceanfront Beach Club with saltwater lagoon; and a state-of-the-art fitness complex with lap pool. Completion dates are set for Q3 2013.
Future planned amenities include a second golf course called the Oasis Course, which is planned for private membership and will encompass a high-budget, lush landscape that will contrast and complement the Dunes Course and will feature an architecturally noteworthy golf clubhouse. Other future amenities include a tennis complex, equestrian center, hiking and biking trails, luxury spa, state-of-the-art fitness complex, swimming pools and other recreational facilities. In addition, there are plans for The Lagoon Project, which will be a fully functioning resort within the boundaries of the Diamante Community. A third golf course call the Desert Course is also planned adjacent to the Lagoon Project.
Is the Dunes Golf Course private or public?
The Dunes Course is a private facility for the exclusive use of residential owners and members.
What is a “private hitting bay”?
The private hitting bays are unlike anything found in golf, with four large separate stone formations providing an exclusive experience for your foursome. Each hitting bay provides delicious local fare and beverages served by the Slider Bar chef. A personal caddie/service assistant will provide anything needed throughout your round of golf.
How secure is the property?
Diamante has a large and professional security staff. The property is guarded and patrolled 24/7. All of Diamante’s entry points are guard gated and staffed with trained security guards. In addition, Diamante’s security is trained in first-aid and can quickly handle most medical emergencies.
Is it safe to swim or partake of water sports at the site?
Swimming in the Pacific Ocean is prohibited at Diamante, as well as most of Cabo, due to strong riptides conditions. Diamante plans to open a family friendly Beach Club just steps away from the ocean, which will feature a large (one acre) salt water lagoon for swimming.
