Diamante is the 20th course designed by the company and proudly takes its position as #58 in GOLF Magazine’s Top 100 Courses in the World 2011.
Playing 700 plus yards shorter than the back nine, players could feel that the front nine is the easier of the two. However, with three par 3′s and a design that demands more accuracy than the back nine, scoring can be equally tough. The wind is a key factor, as the prevailing wind takes away any chance of reaching the par 5′s in two on the front nine.
A true test of links golf where the wind can play havoc with your score. One of the great par 3′s in golf, hole #11 sets the tone and #14 is a relentless and challenging par 5. Diamante has a very demanding finish with the 15th and 16th playing into the teeth of the wind. Hole #17 is a gem of a par 5 and the precursor to a memorable finishing hole.
